It really seems like this episode was an indictment on humanity as a whole. Sure the demon chick (who started out human but became a demon from her over use of the Golden Cicada art) had it out for men, but that's mainly because of this greedy frog of a man left her after she became demon. And a pretty hot one at that, I might add. That fuckstain of a "man" even grabbed Xiao's sword while he was fighting her and ran demon lady through with it.
Fucking jerk.
Anyways, "old rock" had a moment where he busted out with some sage wisdom about how her death was actually a release. Old Hinage would've approved! (Super Milk Chan references FTW)
The episode closed with Ling telling Xiao that she was a princess and that she didn't like him anymore and that they should walk different paths. Xiao put on the brave face, but tore up a helpless fern as he screams out "Why? Why? Why?" (More human jerktastic bullshit...what'd that fern do to deserve that, huh?" and Ling struggling not to cry because after all, she does love him, but between her being the descendant of Mv Wu (and a demon herself) as well as being a princess, that relationship is doomed from the get go.
I might be preferring Strange Hero Yi Zhi Mei over Chinese Paladin 1, just because Strange Hero Yi Zhi Mei is more like that show Leverage, with criminals helping the poor and unfortunate, and it's like a series about pulling off capers and a bunch of other cool stuff. However, I do like Chinese Paladin 1, it's got good martial arts and a compelling story and Ah Nu! I dig that chick!!!
