Alright, this was an episode about reconciliation. Sanniang and Abbess reconcile their pasts with each other, but at first it was a contentious thing, especially when Abbess tried to force Sanniang to stay behind and rejoin the Order of Emei Immortal Sword. Sanniang wasn't for it, even using the cover story of Gexiao and Sanniang being married (although, really...we know that joining is going to happen) to get her to allow Sanniang to leave while still giving up the now recovered contract. Abbess lets a bit of her own baggage slip during the exchange.
So, it turns out that the Sky Water from their sacred site is a key to the antidote for the poison. Something discovered with Gexiao's bathing in the vapors of the site. While there, Sanniang totally kissed Gexiao, but it was so obscured by the mists that I didn't get a good screen cap of it. Meh, that's another thing that's bound to happen again.
Anyways, Sanniang and Abbess have a fight that almost goes to far, but Gexiao grabs the naked blade of Abbess's sword, so because he was willing to die for Sanniang, Abbess has a change of heart and as they were leaving, Abbess and Sanniang finally come to a better result.
Awwwwwwwwww. No worries, I actually did that out loud when I saw it.
From here, Lord Yan has dispatched Black Demon because Wuqiu keeps getting hosed by Yi Zhi Mei. So now, they've got 2 bands after them! They saved old man Bao, and are on the move to get to the border pass to meet up with the son. Gexiao sends Sanniang and Hu off with old man Bao while Xiaomei tends to the after effects of Gexiao's poisoning, directing them to a Temple on that road. It also so happens to be a den of thieves that is run by a guy that Gexiao saved years back.
Once Gexiao and Xiaomei rejoin Hu and Sanniang, the tensions were smoothed over and an escape plan is put into motion. Things just keep getting better and better!
