Strange Hero Yi Zhi Mei - Episode 10

So much stuff went on in this episode, much of it being flashbacks to Gexiao's past.  Like the bit of melodrama he used to con Xiao Ben out of Sanniang as the replaced 18th concubine.

Ben giving him Sanniang made for the moment that Liu Shi Shi stopped being Nianci in my mind.

Sanniang also was Ms Sums-it-up in this episode.  Totally being blatant about one of the underlying themes going on trough this arc.

Yup...pretty much!

The flashbacks were pretty heavy in this one.  I still must restate my thought that RuYi isn't pretty enough for the role.  Sorry, just had to go there once again because stories over them two were aplenty!  It kinds got to a point where I think even the writer's had to acknowledge it in a cheeky way...

Like, "yeah the only reason for that bit of backstory was because it was touching."

I'll have to admit, it was pretty touching, the old man ain't lying!

Now the shit has really gotten thick with Gexiao's old friend/enemy (think Sterling from Leverage) as they're both at the same high stakes cricket fighting event and both with the same goal of teaching Xiao Ben a lesson!  I'm rather geared up for these two facing off, battle of the wits style...it's going to be GLORIOUS!!!
